Restorative Dental Care
Renewing Your Smile, Enhancing Your Dental Health
Restorative dentistry is a branch of dentistry focused on restoring the function, integrity, and aesthetics of your teeth. It involves diagnosing, treating, and preventing oral health issues like tooth decay, damage, or tooth loss. By addressing these concerns promptly, restorative dentistry helps you maintain a healthy, beautiful smile for a lifetime.
Basic Restorative Services
Tooth-Colored Fillings
Dental fillings repair teeth affected by cavities or minor damage caused by wear and tear. The decayed or damaged portion of the tooth is removed, and the resulting space is disinfected, primed, and tooth-colored composite resin is then bonded in place.
Dental Inlays and Onlays
Inlays and onlays are indirect restorations used to repair teeth with moderate decay or damage. They are custom-made restorations crafted in a dental laboratory and then bonded to the affected tooth. Inlays fit within the tooth's cusps, while onlays extend over one or more cusps.
Dental Crowns and Bridges
Crowns, also known as caps, are custom-made covers that encase a damaged or weakened tooth. They improve the shape, size, strength, and appearance of the tooth. Crowns are often recommended for teeth with extensive decay, fractures, or after root canal treatment. Bridges are used to replace one or more missing teeth.

Root Canal Therapy
Root canal treatment is done to restore a severely infected or decayed tooth. The procedure involves removing the infected pulp from the tooth's interior, cleaning and disinfecting the root canals, and filling them with a biocompatible material. A crown is often placed on the treated tooth for added protection and strength.
-
Dental Implants
Implants are a long-term solution for tooth loss. They involve the gentle placement of a titanium post into the bone, acting as an artificial tooth root. The implant fuses with the bone, providing a stable foundation for a dental crown, bridge, or denture to replace the missing tooth or teeth. Implants can be used as an anchor for many kinds of restorations to replace teeth from single crowns to bridges, and even dentures.
-
Dentures
Dentures are removable prosthetic devices used to replace multiple missing teeth and restore oral function. They are custom-made and can be used to replace all or some of your teeth, depending on your specific needs. There are partial dentures, complete dentures, and also ridge-bar over dentures that (using implants) can be more permanent and stable than traditional removable devices.
